Mrs. Laurel Beckstead

Mrs. Beckstead is head of American Heritage Academy and oversees all the academy’s operations and needs. She has been with the academy for fifteen years. She is passionate about what the academy represents, educating and preserving America's Heritage. Mrs. Beckstead has a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Brigham Young University. A highlight of her education was attending the Center for Middle Eastern Studies in Jerusalem.

Mrs. Beckstead has a B.A in English from Brigham Young University and a Masters Degree in Urban Leadership and Administration from the University of Nevada Las Vegas. Mrs. Beckstead’s goal is to receive a doctorate in Constitutional Law.

Further to her educational pursuits, she was the recipient for “2010 Young Mother” for the state of Nevada through American Mothers Inc. This is an organization that recognizes mothers who are making a difference in the family and community.

Internationally, Mrs. Beckstead is an educational consultant and administrator to Nanchang No. 3 High School’s International program in partnership with Jiangxi Education Center for International Cooperation. She is also a co-founder of a non-profit organization, I am Zambia, educating young students with entrepreneurial skills. This organization runs a school and humanitarian assistance program.

Her youngest son attends AHA. Her two daughters and oldest son have all graduated from the academy and attend her alma mater.

Mrs. Beckstead loves to travel to historic places, read the classics and listen to the waves of the ocean.
