Mrs. Laura Pittman
High School Math Teacher
Mrs. Pittmon grew up in the western suburbs of Chicago, IL. She attended Illinois State University earning her B.S. in Secondary Mathematics Education in 2005. She began teaching the summer after her graduation and quickly developed a passion for enriching students’ lives through the study of Mathematics. She later earned her M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction from Concordia University in Chicago.
In 2008, Mrs. Pittmon moved to Henderson, NV and made it her new home. She promptly began teaching Mathematics at a local private high school. In 2011, Mrs. Pittmon was honored as the recipient of the “Father Querbes” Award recognizing her outstanding performance in the education and Christian leadership.
In 2010, Mrs. Pittmon married her loving husband. They have since welcomed three wonderful children into the world. Mrs. Pittmon is excited to have all three of her children attend school at AHA while also teaching there.
Mrs. Pittmon enjoys spending time with her family, playing volleyball, wood-working, ceramics and drawing.
