Mrs. Rachel Affleck

Front Desk Receptionist

Rachel Hartt Affleck moved from Arizona to Las Vegas, NV in 1999 and fell in love with her local community immediately. Providentially, she also met her husband the very same day she arrived in Las Vegas, and fell in love with him quite immediately, too! Together they have three children; 2 girls and 1 boy, whom all love attending American Heritage Academy! Rachel has a lifelong love of the principles of Faith, Leadership, and Patriotism. Rachel was on a quest to find a school atmosphere where true principles would be valued, where love of learning would be fostered, and where prayer would be welcomed. She is the granddaughter of Hartt Wixom, author of many books including ‘The Cokeville Miracle,’ which influenced in her the importance of faith, prayer, and the love of our ancestors. She also has some Mayflower ancestors whose legacies of liberty she is passionate to carry on. Prior to joining the AHA family in 2015, Rachel had many assignments and opportunities to teach early education in our community. Rachel has spent a great deal of effort promoting liberty minded legislation and hopes to extend a love of liberty in the upcoming generation!

The James Madison Statesman Award is given to the senior who best exemplifies outstanding Christian statesmanship.
A statesman is a representative of Jesus Christ, who came not to be served, but to serve; one tooled in the art of self-government under God, able to wisely steward his God-given property —his conscience, time, and talent—and the property of others; one able to think and reason Biblically in all areas of life, rightly dividing the Word of God; and one able to lead, by example, his own generation in a spirit of selflessness as an ambassador of Christ locally, nationally, and internationally. For we are ambassadors for Christ. (II Corinthians 5:20)
