Mrs. Wendi Mina

5th Grade Teacher
Mrs. Wendi Mina is a graduate of the University of Nevada, Reno where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. She taught for several years in Washoe County, mostly in first grade, and has also owned and operated her own business. Mrs. Mina has been married to her best friend, whom she’s known since middle school, for 23 years now. They moved to Henderson seven years ago when he began a new career as a police officer for LVMPD. Together, they have two kids, a son who is in his second year of college and a daughter who is a junior in high school. More than anything, they love spending time together as a family. Mrs. Mina is an active church member who strives to keep strong spiritually through prayer and by reflecting daily on the things she is grateful for. She is very thankful for her family’s love and support in getting back into the classroom. Mrs. Mina loves her country and is excited about teaching in a school that celebrates our rich history. Most of all, she is extremely grateful for the love and guidance of our Savior, Jesus Christ, for He led her here to AHA.
